Out of the Box with Mr. Knits: Carbon Neutral Shipping

Our shipping provider, Shipping Easy, has given us the ability to select Carbon Neutral shipping. That means for all our shipments to you, Shipping Easy will calculate the carbon costs and donate to a cause to offset them. Details can be found here at the Shipping Easy site.

There is no action needed from you, and no additional cost. In fact, our shipping rates have gone down a little, resulting in no price increases for most of our offerings, like you may have seen elsewhere.

We don’t see this as a matter of political opinion. We see this the same as essential care for our home, like cleaning the kitchen or bathroom. Except the care is for our shared home that is this planet.

For bonus points, the primary beneficiary of this carbon offset is a wind farm in Dempsey, OK. That’s fairly close to my family in the Oklahoma City area. Besides, it makes sense: “Oklahoma where the wind blows sweeping down the plain”.
