About Mrs. Knits…
Bonnie Mariconda is originally from Seattle, WA. She holds a BA in English from Seattle University and an MBA from City University. When she is not knitting she is hanging out with Mr. Knits to watch Star Trek, Star Wars, and endless puppy videos on You Tube (which inspired her to becoming Fur Mama to Chewbacca).
Her interest in knitting started at an early age, and blossomed as a teenager during a teacher’s strike. Her passion for knitting has been growing ever since - including the sweater in this photo!
Bonnie Mariconda (aka, Mrs. Knits) is the Designer and Artist in Residence at Mrs. Knits Yarn Shop and Studio. She has been the owner/operator of a yarn shop on eBay as Mrs. Knits Yarn Shop since 2003. With thousands of eBay sales, she’s an expert on Happy Knitting!
My title should make it abundantly clear that I report to someone, in this case Bonnie Mariconda, who you know as Mrs. Knits. She is also my wife of more than 8 years.
After 30 years of different flavors of corporate data reporting, we’re growing this small business. What I bring to the table is certainly not knitting skills. But I am really good at logistics like inventory tracking, shipping, and eStore management. That nicely complements Mrs. Knits, who is amazing at knitting, fibers, and color theory! But she’ll be the first to admit she is terrible at those logistics.
So anytime you buy from MKYS, it’s almost certainly me that will carefully package the yummies as Mrs. Knits calls them, ensuring a safe arrival to your needles, and Happy Knitting.

Philip (Mr. Knits) Mariconda,
Vice President of Logistics
Chewbacca (Chewie), Morale Officer
Being the Morale Officer for Mrs. Knits Yarn Shop sounds important, especially since Mr. and Mrs. Knits really stare at those screens a lot pushing buttons.
Well I have a few ideas to keep them from working too hard. I beg for scritches a lot. A little mischief is good too, although I got in trouble once for playing with what Mr. Knits called Queensland Perth 102. He gave the ball of yarn to Mrs. Knits to “knit a sample” and used the word “skutch” (I’m still learning the language).
I make sure they unwind at the end of the workday. Sometimes I have to demonstrate proper maintenance of morale myself - for more Happy Knitting tomorrow.
