What is a Yarn Studio?

What’s on our Needles? We have reimagined yarn shops…..

Most knitters are familiar with LYS (Local Yarn Shops). Mrs. Knits decided to put a different spin on the traditional LYS by creating a Studio. Why? Mrs. Knits was taught how to knit and break the rules by adapting pattern ideas into her own custom creations. It’s about enjoying the process of knitting and making things that fit. She didn’t care to follow complicated patterns that took the joy out of the making.

So Mrs. Knits Yarn Studio, located in beautiful Bremerton, Wa. not far from the Bremerton Naval Base and a ferry ride away from Seattle. We have been on Ebay since 2005 and launched our own website last year that we remodeled this summer. We also have an active social media presence and a You Tube Channel.

Most exciting is that we have lots of space for knitting groups and viewing parties. Mrs. Knits will be taking appointments for one on one consultations. You can come in and have a cup of coffee, sit in our beautiful studio space and use our tablet to peruse our website.

Our studio will also include very exclusive yarns and accessories like hand crafted stitch markers from Etsy makers and gorgeous Atenti bags and Soak Wash. We are also happy to take special orders and offer pick up services for online orders. ]

Our appointment system is being built as we speak.

Mrs. Knits Yarn Shop owners, Bonnie (Mrs. Knits) and Philip (Mr. Knits) have adopted Bremerton as our new hometown. Bonnie is from Seattle and Philip hails from New Jersey. We are husband and wife and Mr. Knits proudly tells everyone how Mrs. Knits is the boss.
