Out of the Box with Mr. Knits: Why are reviews turned off?
As Vice President of Logistics, I sometimes get to be the proverbial "bad cop". Due to a critical lack of functionality that I brought to the attention of our web store provider, I have turned off product and store reviews within this site.
This is not because we fear bad reviews, but our web store provider will not give us the ability to respond to ANY online reviews. I know that when I am shopping for anything, how a merchant responds to reviews is at least as important as the review itself. Does the merchant get defensive or argumentative? Or do they own the problem and do something to fix it? I respect when someone fixes an honest mistake - I'm human too.
Do not mistake this for closed lines of communications. You are encouraged to go to our Contact page to raise any concerns - we will see it. As for public reviews, our Google profile allows for reviews and responses. Of course there’s our Facebook page. We take customer satisfaction very seriously and we want you to be happy with your order! Mrs. Knits wants to share her passion for yarn and knitting with you, and hopefully make an honest living doing so. We want you to be as delighted as Mrs. Knits engaging in Happy Knitting.
